Community Calling Card

Billing Montana, USA (03/10/2009)

 Sunday Night.

Here in Billings we have just experienced a  wonderful evening with Lior Kaminetsky and Ira Caplan. The music was superb. Both played and sang, together and singly and with audience participation.  We didn’t have a percussionist, and they planned for this by distributing  small percussion instruments among the audience.

Their music ranged from Classical to Klezmer to Niggunim, family composed and their own arrangements to the wildest Shalom Aleichem.

If you are thinking that only a small number of people will attend in your town, I urge you to get the word out so  more will come. We had an article in the paper that mushroomed into 3, with the result that we had at least 70 people attend…close to a full house. This was the kind of evening that we see too infrequently in Montana.

Many thanks to Motti for giving us the opportunity to meet and hear Ira and Lior. All who attended from our  congregation and the wider community are enriched tonight.

We loved them, and hope that you do also.
