The Jewish Federation of Greater Rockford is a non-profit, charitable organization located in Rockford, IL. Our mission is to further the welfare of the Jewish community in Northern Illinois and worldwide. To plan for the philanthropic, social, cultural and educational advancement of the Jewish community in addition to fostering cooperation among the local Jewish organizations directed toward those ends.

Rockford has about 800 affiliated Jews.  We have Temple Beth-El (reformed), Ohave Sholom Synagogue (conservative), and Rockford Chapter of Hadassah.  Rockford has a population of about 150,000 people.  We are located about 90 miles from Chicago.

The Federation has annual meetings with the other federations of small cities in Illinois.  We are also connected to all small federations through email and meetings.
