We have around 40 families. We are an aging community that does as much as possible. We have Friday night, High Holiday, and festival services. We also have a religious school during the year on Sundays.

        Decatur used to be a big factory town, but it has been changing. Many people from our community have moved elsewhere. We are around an hour away from Springfield, Champaign, and Bloomington and three hours south of Chicago.

We receive information with the Springfield Jewish Federation and have contacts with the Springfield and Champaign communities.

        Contact person or persons – phone and e-mail.

It will not last the night;

But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends--

It gives a lovely light!"
