SOUL TRAIN
FOUNDED BY YESHIVAT BNEI AKIVA KFAR HAROEH
Soul Train was established in 1999 to answer the needs of the small and outlying Jewish communities. The spiritual needs of these communities are as great as in the big communities, but in most of the places, nobody is able to answer these needs. Interesting enough, in most of the countries, the big communities do not reach out, on a regular basis, to the smaller ones who therefore have to care for themselves with very, limited means and manpower. Soul Train connects to these small communities and offers them Jewish and Israeli enrichment programs on a regular basis. All the programs come from Israel and all of them are experiential, bringing the best of Israel to our far away brothers and sisters. We started in the Pacific North West of the USA in 5 small communities, expanded to Europe and later on to the African Continent. We have grown from 5 communities to more than 50 worldwide and continue to add new communities through word of mouth. It has been a wonderful experience to see the keen interest in the outlying communities and most of all to be able to bring Judaism and Israel to places so far away from the main Jewish centers. Soul Train will continue to connect to the small Jewish communities in the world. Soul Train will rekindle the flame in the communities where Soul Train is the sole Jewish and Israeli connection. Soul Train will bring new ideas and programs and most important - interesting people who can give a special input to the outlying communities. Soul Train brings people closer to their heritage and to their Jewish identity. Soul Train brings Israel into the hearts of people who have never been interested in hearing about it. Soul Train brings Judaism and Israel to the far \away corners of the Jewish world. And Soul Train brings the far away Jews to discover their Jewish Soul and Israel. What do we do? Soul Train sends different short term programs to the communities.
